Well, since it is Saturday, we have decided to make it a lazy day for everyone but Ashley. We made Ashley work today moving furniture into our new office space downtown. We have been remodeling the building adjacent to our current space for additional offices and conference rooms and we are finally ready to move in! Alex took Annie back to NC on Friday morning. Dad's sister Ruth caught a vicious virus that caused dehydration and a short hospital stay. Fortunately she is home again and doing well but we are continuing to pray for her and her health. Alex is loafing in North Wilkesboro for Merlefest and tomorrow he is going to attend my aunt Dora's 81st birthday party. One of Mom's best friends, Bernice visited today. I think Mom may have walked her too much - she toured every flower in the yard and twice around the inside of the house. After Bernice left, she and Dad went back outside. The fresh air and walking help her breathing and she enjoys being outside the house as well.
Mom was not feeling well last night. She had a wonderful day yesterday. Rhonda picked her up and took her to tour Eddie's new house; she spent the afternoon with her sister Martha and Marilyn came for her usual visit; then, she and Dad went for a late afternoon drive around Pigeon Forge. But, later in the evening she was having difficulty with her breathing again due to the increased size of her stomach (it is back up 1 inch since Tuesday). This morning was not much better but after walking outside she seems to be feeling more herself.
Please always keep her in your prayers - we truly know it is only by His Grace we have this time together and it is only by His plan that she will be healed!
