Critical Hospitalization
This week has been difficult for Mom. Last Friday she began her new treatment and on Monday she began experiencing some of the side effects she was told to expect. Over the next few days we kept in touch with the doctors and kept her eating and drinking on a limited diet, trying to keep her hydrated. Although she was sick, she was positive and in good spirits. She even bought a new bedroom suite! On Thursday afternoon, however, she suddenly became unfocused (for lack of a better term) and she was having difficulty communicating. We truly believed when we rushed to Blount Memorial Hospital she would need fluids but we would be here only a few days. Instead, Mom is critically ill. She has an infection in her system and is septic. Her white blood count is so low as to be non-existant and she cannot fight this infection. She is currently on the oncology floor here at Blount Memorial where is receiving the best of care. She is surrounded by family and supported by love. Please pray for comfort and her peace.

Dearest Glenda and Family,
There are so many people praying with and for you and I am proud to be amongst them. You have been such a strong Witness. May God give you His Grace as you continue to bless so many others.
LOVE In Him,
Dave Gorden
